James Matanky of Matanky Realty Group Appointed ICSC Illinois State Director

March 29, 2012 | New York, NY - Matanky Realty Group announced today that the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) has appointed James Matanky as ICSC Illinois State Director for a one-year term beginning May 20, 2012. In this volunteer role, Mr. Matanky will represent the interests of owners, developers, investors, marketers and other retail specialists across the state of Illinois.

Mr. Matanky is President of Matanky Realty Group, founded in 1955, as a full service real estate firm offering expertise in brokerage, development, redevelopment, leasing and management. Mr. Matanky participates as a panelist for both the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Urban Land Institute, has worked with the City of Chicago as a mentor for retail redevelopment, and serves on the Chicago Building Department Commissioner’s advisory panel. He is the Chairman of the Chicago Stockyard Commission SSA#13. In addition, Mr. Matanky serves on the board of Governors of Hebrew University of Jerusalem and is a VP of the JCC of Metropolitan Chicago. James Matanky has always been and will always be an important part of making Illinois a better place through his social and civic involvements which are mirrored in his professional specialty of development in under-served communities.
